Jakobsen Transport AS was established somewhat by coincidence in 1983. Marton Jakobsen was originally looking to buy a fishing boat, but when the boat turned out to be in terrible condition, he ended up purchasing a truck instead.
What began as small moving and transport services run from the kitchen of Siv and Marton Jakobsen gradually developed into a solid local company with a strong focus on quality and flexibility.
Over time, the business moved out of the family kitchen and into dedicated premises at Bygnes, where we have steadily built our reputation as a reliable and established player within transport and logistics.
Through strong local roots, high competence, and a continuous focus on quality, we have grown in step with the needs of the market.
